Introduction:
ELC was established in 1981 with the support of Asia foundation specifically for science faculty students to help them to learn English for scientific purposes so that they could study their subjects with better understanding.
Till 1994, ELC had organized English certification for scientific purposes to Msc (Previous) and Bsc (Hons), organized various debate competitions and helped departments in providing different English papers.
From 1995 to 2004 ELC has organized especial certifications for Msc Program, prepared functional english paper for mass communication, business communication paper for Mpa and Mba, held certification in general English for MA and B-Pharmacy programs .
From year 2005 - up till now besides other English language certifications and programs ELC has also arranged especial courses for teachers of public sector colleges and universities of Balochistan by the British council in collaboration with HEC and ELC U.o.B.
