Message from Dean

Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences

                         I welcome you to the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Balochistan. After thirty years as a faculty member in the Department of Geology, it is an honor for me to be leading the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences. The Faculty comprised the departments of Geology, Geography, and Center of Excellence in Mineralogy, Renewable Energy and Seismology & Geophysical Studies. Some of these Departments have set trends in scientific research at International level.

The Faculty has been the pioneer in the production of a highly qualified human resource in the country, producing the BS (4-Years) Master, M.Phil. and PhD scholars. It offers a variety of modern courses in BS, MSc, MPhil and PhD degrees in Mineralogy, Geology, Earthquake studies Water Resource, Metrology, Climate Change, Renewable Energy and Environmental Sciences.
Our Faculty is well equipped with talented renowned professors who are passionate about teaching and research. We have adequate laboratories, and a campus-wide networking and learning environment.

We, in the Faculty, aim at to create a friendly and conducive environment for nurturing excellent researchers and scholars to serve Pakistan in general and Balochistan in particular. With academic staff strength of more than 50, we encourage each person to excel in whatever he or she is best in, be it teaching or research or cultivating a critical skill that is essential to the mission of this Faculty. Recruiting and nurturing talent is the top priority of our Faculty.
