1.1. Philosophy is defined as seeking truth for the sake of it the Study of Philosophy is essential for the understanding of the history of cultures, ideas religions, civilizations, and sciences, and the history of cultures. Philosophy deals with the truth behind entire human experience and knowledge.

1.3 The Department of Philosophy was established in the year 1987 by Dr. Saeed Ahmed Rafiq as its first Chairman. It offers Masters degree program of 2 years.
