ACADEMIC FACILITIES
The Area Study Center is a well-established research institute and provides the following facilities to its M. Phil/Ph. D scholars:
Departmental Library: The ASCME has a well-established and well-managed library with a rich collection of books, research journals and magazines related to history, ancient civilizations, religions, wars & conflicts, political economy, foreign policy, security policy, regional politics, Muslim dynasties, decolonization & democracy, arms race & nuclear politics, peace & conflict studies, comparative politics, strategic environment, encyclopedia and atlases of the Middle East and Arab Countries .
Computer Laboratory: The center is equipped with a computer lab. with latest facilities to access different online sources/digital libraries related to Middle Eastern affairs. The departmental library is also linked with the central library of the University of Balochistan, Quetta, Pakistan for online access to different e-sources to facilitate the scholars for their research and studies.
Class Rooms: The ASCME has established multimedia class rooms to facilitate modern techniques of lecture and presentation.
Seminar Hall: The seminar hall with multimedia facilities of the ASCME is used for different academic purposes like seminar on contemporary issues, guest lectures and meetings.
Other Facilities: The center is well-equipped with modern machineries/technology like computers, printers, fax, photocopier, scanners, WiFi routers for its faculty and staff.
SEMINAR
Besides the academic programs, the Area Study Center for Middle East and Arab Countries regularly conducts seminar and conferences on the contemporary regional issues to bring the center into national and international recognition besides updating its scholars about the recent developments in the Middle East.
