Shahzada Zulfiqar elected unopposed as President PFUJ.
Mr. Shahzada Zulfiqar seasoned journalist currently working as Bureau Chief of Bol New is elected unopposed as President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) on 30th November 2019. This is for the first time that a journalist from Balochistan would serve as PFUJ President. On the behalf of he faculty and students of the Department of Media Studies we wish him success in his new endeavours.

Media Studies students participates in video making workshop at Islamabad.
MA 4th semester students attends part two a 3 day workshop organized by Ministery of Information & Broadcasting.
Mr. Salal Khan and Abdul Hadi attended a video making workshop at Islamabad organised by Ministery of Information and Broadcasting. Only 6 Universities were shortlisted for the second round of the workshop. First round was held at Karach earlier this year.
Documentary making proposal got 1st position.
Pur Azm project short lists 4 proposals.
Ministery of Broadcasting Pakistan launched a project “Pur Azm Pakistan” proposals were invited from all the Mass Communicaiton departments of Pakistan, only 5 proposals were shortlisted. Proposal submitted by Abdul Hadi and Salal Khan students of MA 4th semester of the Department of Media Studies, University of Balochistan got 1st position.
Microsoft Imagine Cup 2020 to be organised by the Department of Media Studies, University of Balochistan.
Higher Education Commission of Pakistan in colloboration with Media Studies Department
Microsoft Imagine Cup 2020 will be held in the month of January 2020. The marathon program will be on aired live from the TV studio of Media Studies.
