Soon after doing LL.B  in 2008, Mr Asmatullah Kakar joined the permanent faculty of
Law College as lecturer and in 2014 he was elevated to the post of assistant professor. He has been the winner and participant of several National and International Moot Court competitions. His research area includes International Humanitarian Law, Legal Issues involved in Kashmir Dispute and Criminal Justice System and Pashtunwali (Customary Code of Pashtuns) 

He has been teaching Comparative Jurisprudence to LL.M students and Jurisprudence, International Law, Interpretation of statutes , Islamic Jurisprudence, Law of Torts, Intellectual Property Law, Labour Laws, Company Law, and Principles of Criminal Law to LL.B Three Years students, and Introduction to Law, and Logic and Reasoning  to students of B.A LL.B Five Years
